The WILD Card family has been specially designed to provide affordable access to South African National Parks and partner organisations.

The WILD Card offers visitors a number of options:

  • The All Clusters Card offers unlimited entry for a year to all National Parks in South Africa.
  • For more local users there is a selection of "cluster cards" offering unlimited access to National Parks and partner reserves in a certain region.
  • Cape Town's WILD Card offers affordable LIMITED entry to the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP). Recreational permits for a number of activities available in the TMNP can also be loaded onto the card.

Cape Town's WILD Card is available exclusively to Capetonians and offers affordable LIMITED entry to the Table Mountain National Park's pay points at the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Penguin Colony, Silvermine and Tokai as well as the picnic site at Newlands, Perdekloof and Oudekraal.

How do I buy Cape Town's WILD Card?

You need to bring your ID book and proof of address such as a rates bill, an accounts bill, a letter from your employer or a contactable Cape Town based reference. The identity numbers of up to two adults can be loaded onto one card. These are the Card Owners.

How does it work?

Cape Town's WILD Card aims to ensure that you, your family and friends have affordable access to the Table Mountain National Park. The card provides access for up to six people at a time – with a maximum of four adults.

Please remember one person uses one credit - six people entering the TMNP at one time equals the use of six credits.

How can I use the 12 entry credits?

  • One Card Owner can use the card 12 times
  • The two Card Owners together can use it six times
  • The Card Owner/s can also invite friends or family (maximum 4 adults):
    For example:
    • A Card Owner and one friend will use 2 credits
    • Two adults and two children will use 4 credits
    • Four adults and two children will use 6 credits
    • One adult and five children will use 6 credits
